My Story

Yoga first drew me in through movement. Like many people, I came to the practice for the physical benefits. What kept me returning was everything else. Over time, yoga became a way to develop greater awareness, resilience, and presence, both on and off the mat. It taught me how to pay attention, stay steady during challenges, and approach growth with curiosity rather than judgment.

My teaching is informed by both scientific study and dedicated practice. I hold a Master’s degree in Biology, completed my teacher trainings in Bali, and continue to study anatomy, movement, and yoga philosophy. Together, these experiences shape an approach that is thoughtful, practical, and rooted in both tradition and modern understanding.

Today, I teach a breath-centered vinyasa practice that emphasizes thoughtful movement, clear instruction, and steady progress. My classes are designed to help students build strength, confidence, and skill while developing a deeper understanding of the practice itself. I believe yoga should meet you where you are, but it should not leave you there.

Through consistent practice, students often discover they are capable of much more than they originally imagined. My role is to provide the guidance, structure, and support that allows that growth to unfold safely and sustainably.

Whether you are stepping onto a yoga mat for the first time, refining an established practice, pursuing private instruction, or training to become a teacher, my goal is the same: to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself through practice and leave feeling stronger, steadier, and more connected to what matters most.

Columbia’s Local lululemon Ambassador

I’m honored to serve as a lululemon Ambassador in Columbia and to support a brand that values movement, wellbeing, and community.

Through classes, events, and community partnerships, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with people both on and off the mat. What I appreciate most about the ambassador program is its commitment to creating meaningful experiences that bring people together and support personal growth.

Whether teaching a class, leading a community event, or supporting local initiatives, my goal remains the same: to help people connect more deeply with themselves and one another through practice.

The second photo is candid of Sarah smiling while mid-pose and is in greyscale although outside in a shady area. A lululemon icon is layered too to give a scrapbook kind of feel.

What Makes This Yoga Practice Different

This practice is not yoga focused on performance,
perfection, or checking poses off a list.

It is also not yoga that asks you to leave your critical thinking at the door.

My teaching combines anatomy-informed movement, breath awareness, practical philosophy, and clear instruction in a way that is approachable, challenging, and grounded in real life.

Students can expect:

  • Strong, breath-centered movement practices
  • Clear and skillful instruction
  • Modifications and progressions for different experience levels
  • Anatomy-informed movement and alignment education
  • Opportunities for both physical challenge and personal reflection
  • A supportive environment that encourages growth through practice

The goal is not perfection. The goal is to develop greater strength, awareness, confidence, and connection through consistent practice.

Yoga is a lifelong practice. Over time, it has the potential to change not only how we move, but how we relate to ourselves and the world around us.

What You Can Expect From Practice

Yoga is not about becoming someone different. It is about developing the awareness, discipline, and self-understanding that allow meaningful change to occur over time.

Through consistent practice, students often experience:

  • Increased strength, mobility, and body awareness
  • Greater confidence in movement and daily life
  • Improved focus, resilience, and emotional steadiness
  • Enhanced understanding of breath and nervous system regulation
  • A deeper understanding of themselves and their patterns
